AFTER THREE decades of research work with modern scientific biotechniques on biological models and clinical trials in man, lot of new facets in the treatment of various ailments have been brought out and confirmed by Dr. N Singh.
As the process of important scientific discoveries on herbal medicines appeared to be breaking down, Dr. Singh found that combination of Ayurvedic herbs helps in reducing ill effects of modern drugs.
Prolonged use of herbals helps the patients by other mechanisms also, like increasing or modulating the immunity (body's resistance) to fight disease, a property which is usually absent in modern drugs. In many chronic diseases like arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure and incurable diseases like hepatitis B, C, D, AIDS, viral diseases and carcinomas, etc. when treated with herbs along with modern drugs or alone in many such cases herbs improve the survival with better quality of life of patients.
His team has earlier scientifically studied many Indian herbs like tulsi, ashwagandha, punarnava, pushkarmool, and neem. Experimental and clinical studies are underway with Dr Syed Sadiq Abbas and Dr Vandana Singh.
Tulsi and Ashwaganclha are best adaptogen/anti-stress agents. Neem is a broad-spectrum slow acting antibiotic and its flower have special effect on immunity and its local appliance is the best for common skin diseases like scabies, pimples, dermatitis and eczema, etc of poor Indians.
Bhumyamalaki, Punarnava and Katuki are most effective in patients of hepatitis B, C, D, E and different diseases of kidney at the same time. Pushkarmool is matchless in bronchial asthma, pippali rasayana, brahmi, kuberaksha and daruharidra in Giardiasis, etc. Motha is saviour of thousands of arthritis patients alone or in combination.
