Tulsi Tea

Tulsi is cultivated by a group of farmers with whom the organization has been working for the last 6-7 years. "We have trained them for the agro techniques of herbal and tulsi cultivation. They have been certified for organic cultivation by SGS. We have put up our processing facility right at the site where fresh tulsi leaves are plucked and brought by the farmers and is processed and vaccum packed on the same day to retain its natural freshness and purity. It is transported to the manufacturing facility as and when required to manufacture tulsi tea," says Mr. Singh.

Organic Food and Spices

Mr. Singh avers, "We have recently expanded and entered into the segment of organic food and spices. Most of the food products and spices are being cultivated by our own certified farmers in UP, MP, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat . These farms are closely supervised, monitored and guided by our own team of agriculturists," adding, "We get some of the spices produced by our organic farm associates on contractual basis."

The company has its own facilities of cleaning, grading and packaging of these products and is also putting up one large- scale facility to handle the increasing demands. "Recently we have imported one such equipment from US to produce dehydrated fruits, which is under commissioning," adds Mr. Singh.

Contract Farming

The company has contract farming arrangement with its own certified group of farmers who cultivate the herbs to meet the company requirements. Another source of herbs are the forests. "We have MOU with M.P. Minor Forest Produce Co-operative Federation and we are operating in M.P. in 16 forest divisions where we are working with village level co-operative societies of tribal inhabitant of forests. We educate and train these tribes for non-destructive wild crafting of herbs, their replanting and regeneration is also supervised by us and implemented by forest community. This wild crafting activity has also been certified as per organic certification standard," explains Mr. Singh. The organization has centres for farming, procurement, processing and manufacturing at Azamgarh, Chennai, Delhi , Dhar, Indore , Jaipur, Lucknow , Nawalgarh, Pali, Satna, Sojat and Surendra Nagar.
