Ingredients:
1. Jaggery - 250 gms
2. Water - ¾ th cup ( 177 ml )
Method:
Pour water in a sauce pan.
Start heating the water in the pan on a gas stove.
When the water is warm put the solid jaggery (gur) in the pan and begin stirring continuously with a big spoon.
Keep stirring till the water begins to boil.
Simmer the gas flame and continue stirring for 10 minutes. Till the water and jaggery make a thick paste.
Turn off the gas flame.
Let it cool for 15 minutes.
When at room temperature strain with a sieve and store in a glass jar.
Your tasty sweetener is ready for use.
The quantity made is - 35 to 40 teaspoons.
This can be stored at room temperature for 2 weeks.
