Having benefited the goodness of Tulsi over the years ORGANIC INDIA salutes the contribution of this herb as a medicinal as well as a herb of culture and wisdom. In India, the herb Tulsi (sometimes spelled “Tulasi”) commonly called sacred or holy basil as it is a principal herb of Ayurveda, the ancient traditional holistic health system of India. Tulsi is also known as “The Incomparable One”, “The Mother Medicine of Nature”, and “The Queen of Herbs”.
ORGANIC INDIA which is known for its concept of service to all, with absolute commitment to work and total integrity, due respect and devotion to Mother Nature celebrates the holistic image of this great herb on the 18th November, 2006 as the 4th Annual Tulsi Mahotsava takes place at Azamgarh. The occasion is going to be graced with the company of Minister of Parliament, Amar Singh and Minister of parliament, Meneka Gandhi. Adding to the colours of celebration would be Indian music maestro Anup Jalota who will entertain the farmers and the audience with his art.
Talking to Times of India, Bharatmitra, Chairman and President, ORGANIC INDIA, asserts, “Tulsi Mahotasava is our way of expressing gratitude to Mother Nature. The whole concept is to bring all the four villages involved in the harvesting of Tulsi and sharing new ideas and vision. “He further says, “We also consider it to be a platform where we share common problems related to the sustainability of life, which on larger parameters is the motto of ORGANIC INDIA.”
Talking about the positives of the tulsi product, Bharatamitra relates, “I get testimonial daily from people who have been trying my product and cannot imagine leaving it. “He further tell, Rajnish Kumar and Harmeet Sethi are two people who are ardent fan of the tulsi tea and have seen problems like cough and cold and other body immunity related problems being solved in no time.
In the same league, Vandita Joan Samuel says “In April 2005 ay hemoglobin count was 7.0 an on the advice of Dr. N Singh I tried the Liver-Kidney Care and Shatavari and exactly after 3 months my count shooted to 11.8. All the doctors said that to increase the count to 11.8, it would take a minimum of 6 months but amazingly it just happened in 3 months. It surely is a miracle”
Bharatmitra further adds, “The demand for organic tulsi tea seems to be ever increasing and in spite the fact that our production has risen to 120 percent a year, we always come across customers asking for more supply. “He further adds, “All we have done to propagate the benefits of tulsi is by means of presentations and road shows, we have never got into active advertising and yet have found large markets in the United States America and India.”
