"TULSI MAHOTSAV" a unique agriculture festival was celebrated in Azamgarh on Sunday. The festival was celebrated in a cluster of 13 Tulsi producing villages.
First of its kind in the country, Dr. Joseph Mercola from USA inaugurated the festival. Film actress Shabana Azmi was the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering Shabana Azmi said "I am very fond of my native lace Azamgarh as thus it is my own land, I have my roots here. It delights me the way Tulsi has transformed lives of so many farmers. ORGANIC INDIA, which has organized the festival, has made Azamgarh proud."
Dr. Mercola who is a global leader in natural health care and organic agriculture said "ORGANIC INDIA was making remarkable progress to bring crucial transformations necessary for improving the health of India and the world. I am very excited to see the amazing commitment and passion they have and very excited about working with them to spread their important work".
President and founder of ORGANIC INDIA Bharat Mitra said India and its ancient wisdom had the solution to propagate better life and piece all over the world. ORGANIC INDIA with its Tulsi farmers has been organizing the Tulsi Mahotsava every year.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of ORGANIC INDIA Krishan Guptaa said the festival had become the most cherished festivities on the calendar of the Tulsi farmers in Azamgarh.
He said "We have brought together people from all over the world to carry out the mission of health and wellness globally. Tulsi cultivation has changed the lives of farmers of thirteen villages in Azamgarh.
