To mark the Earth Day, tulsi saplings were distributed to visitors to the zoo on Friday
"We had ordered some 225 tulsi saplings, " said Renu Singh, zoo director: After planting eight of them on the premises, the remaining saplings were given to the visitors.The zoo has banned the entry of polybags and visitors are allowed to take theirstuff inside the premises in a jute bag. The zoo had organised Earth Day celebrations on Thursday also.
The students from some of the city schools took out an awareness rally and also distributed paper bags to visitors.
