Azamgarh: A GRAND ceremony marked the 5th Tulsi Mahotsava at Kamhenpur here at the city's outskirts. A large gathering, including distinguished guests from abroad,
witnessed the event organised by ORGANIC INDIA, a corporate house.
While addressing the gathering, president of the organisation Bharat Mitra alias Yoav Lev of Israel, said Tulsi's fragrance had reached abroad. Till four years back, Americans did not
know the value of the sacred plant but today they consumed Tulsi tea and termed it the 'best tea' in the world, he said.
He said their team strove hard towards getting recognition to Tulsi's high medicinal value across the world. He said ORGANIC INDIA was devoted towards cultivating Tulsi in a big way
and present it in new form and also gain from its benefits.
Vice president Bhawani Devi (Holly B Lev) awarded prize to Monica Devi as the best female Tulsi grower while in the male segment Mangla Singh was awarded.
Director Research and Development, Dr. Narendra Singh (a native of Kamhenpur in Azamgarh city), was also present on the occasion.
