ORGANIC INDIA has been given exclusive rights to maintain and harvest herbs, fruits and spices from certified organic forests throughout the plains and mountains of central and northern India, as an outcome of our excellent reputation for preserving and enriching the environment and our commitment to the well being and dignity of local farmers and tribal wild crafters. ORGANIC INDIA wild crafts herbs from 2.4 million hectares, (six million acres) of certified organic forests of India.

Whole communities of wild crafters have been given the opportunity to learn valuable skills that provide them with a decent income, a sustainable lifestyle and a work that preserves and protects their natural habitats.

Through offering new opportunities for continuing financial success to small farm owners, workers and forest-dwelling tribal communities, ORGANIC INDIA is helping to stem the tide of families and young people leaving their rural home communities and migrating to overcrowded cities in search of a way of making a living.

We are certified by the world's leading certification agencies: SGS, SKAL & DEMETER, which include USDA - NOP, EEC, European, Australian and soon will have Japanese compliance as well.

ORGANIC INDIA currently has a farmer base of over 10,000 farmers, which is expected to grow to more than 30,000 farmers during 2005/2006. We have organic cultivation on over 50,000 acres of land with expected expansion to over 100,000 acres during 2005/2006.
