MORE then three decades of research work with modern scientific biotechniques on biological models and clinical trials in man, lot of new facets in the treatment of various ailments have been confirmed and introduced by Dr Narendra Singh.
As the process of important scientific discoveries on herbal medicines appeared to be breaking down, Dr Narendra Singh foutd that the combination of Ayurvedic herbs helps in reducing the ill effects of modern drugs.
Prolonged use of herbal drugs helps the patients by other mechanism also, like increasing or modulating the immunity (body's resistance) to fight disease, a property which is usually absent in modern drugs. In many chronic disease like arthritis, asthama, blood pressure and incurable disease like hepatitis B, C, D, HIV (AIDS) viral disease and carcinomas, etc. When treated with herbs along with modern drugs or alone in many such cases herbs improve the survival with better quality of life of patients.
His team has earlier scientifically studied many Indian herbs like Tulsi, Ashwagandha Punarnava, Pushkarmool, and Neem. Experimental and clinical studies are underway with Dr Syed Sadiq Abbas (PhD) and Vandana Singh. (PhD) According to Dr Singh, Tulsi and Ashwagandha are best adoptagen/ anti stress agents. Neem is a broad spectrum slow acting antibiotic and it's flower have special effect on immunity and it's local appliance is the best for common skin disease like scabies, pimples, dermatitis and eczema, etc. of poor Indians.
Bhumyamalaki, Punarnava, and Katuki are most effective in patients of hepatitis B, C, D, E and different disease of kidney at the same time. Pushkarmool is matchless in bronchial asthma, pippali rasayana, brahmi, kuberaksha and daruharida in giardiasis, etc. Motha is saviour of thousand of arthritis patients alone or in combination. Dr Singh holds the specialisation in Pharmalogical and Therapeutics (Cardiovascular, Neuro, GIT Pulmonary, General and clinical pharmacology) Pharmacological and clinical studies through special studies on Bio-Medicinal plants of Ayurvedic origin with a view to assess their use in disease management. All research work in multiple scientific facets of Ayurvedic medicinal herbs have been recognise internationally.
Dr Singh have been nationally and internationally honoured for his achievements in the last 35-40 years that cannot be covered in an article.
