General Description –
A deciduous middle sized tree with crooked trunk, having greenish grey bark and spreader branches. Fruits are 2.5-4 cm in diameter, fleshy, with six vertical furrow and greenish when tender turning to pale yellow in colour when mature. Fruit is sour, bitter sweetish and have cooling effect.
Its fruits are carminative, laxative, anti-pyretic, reduce acidity, bloating, vomiting and anemia. They are diuretic, useful in greyness of hair, liver disease, intermittent fever, obesity, allergy, cough, asthma and stomach disease.
