Meet The Farmers

Farmers are the pillars of ORGANIC INDIA. We take pride in training them - many of them from marginalized groups, including women, widows, the elderly and the illiterate-and providing educational opportunities enabling self-sufficiency and developing skills to pass on to future generations.

Our relationships are built on mutual respect, dignity and inter-connectedness. Our commitment goes beyond the farm to help enhance the lives of our farmers through fair-market wages, access to healthcare, empowerment and gender equality programmes, as well as improvements in infrastructure. When farmers succeed, their villages also prosper, leading to a collective enhancement of the quality of life.

Consciousness In Action

At the heart of ORGANIC INDIA is our commitment to be a living embodiment of love and consciousness in action. We work with several small family farmers across India to cultivate thousands of acres of sustainable organic farmland. Each product of ORGANIC INDIA is one link in a chain of inter-connectedness - a chain between Mother Nature, our farmers and you. We operate from a place of inter-connectedness and oneness, working to be of service to our community and to keep our planet vibrant. The essence of our brand is consciousness in action. The work we do as human beings matter, and our products and practices are created by conscious decisions based on true wellness and oneness for the planet, our farmers, our employees and, you, the consumers.

Regenerative Agriculture

  • ORGANIC INDIA believes in the power of regeneration. Every year, our network of farmers and wildcrafters works thousands of acres of organic farmland in India to provide quality, organic crops and herbs, while simultaneously reversing environmental degradation in Indian farming communities. All of our farmers and tribal wildcrafters are educated in organic and regenerative agricultural practices. Our intention is to leave the planet in better condition than we found it by committing to practices that heal the Earth, enrich biodiversity and regenerate the soil. Organic standards form the foundation of ORGANIC INDIA's farming practices.
